So, a few months ago now I was sitting at home rather bored and I thought "what can I do with myself?" If you're thinking what I think you're thinking then you're disgusting. Grow up. But seriously, I had a think and came up with the marvellous idea to make an animation. It was getting nearer to the end of my first year of uni - and part of my reason for not writing anything on here is due to the fact it had to be assessed and marked so I couldn't include any new entries for a while - and my uni friends were going to be off to their respective homes. I'm quite fond of those girls so I thought "I know, I'll do a little animation for them using nothing but Paint, Windows Live Movie Maker and Jackie Wilson". Amazing idea, right? So, what followed was hours of meticulous drawing on paint - it got to around 400 images in total. Each image would end up being a fraction of a second of animation on Movie Maker - I don't know how those guys at Disney do it! I know what you're thinking - "that's a bit sad" - but once I got so far in I couldn't stop; I had to finish! ;-)
So, on I went, drawing after drawing after drawing; syncing it up to my specially selected soundtrack of (Your Love Is Lifting Me) Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson - which is our special song at uni for me and the girls (I have no idea why, I just know that I'm responsible).
So, the theme goes thusly - the little animated stick characters of the girls and I join hands and start flying higher and higher - all fitting within the theme of the song. Eventually we get so high we end up in outer space, zipping past the planets and the occasional pop culture icon like the Tardis or the Planet Express.
Here's an example of one of the frames so you get the idea:

Yet still, in space, there's only so high you can go, so I decided to add a touch of cheese and end the video with us reaching heaven. Observe:

It was a charming video, if I do say so myself, and I thought "I'll upload this onto YouTube and show the girls". So, I upload, wait and send it. So, how did my friends react, you ask? How much love did they bestow upon me when they saw the magnificent creation I'd poured my heart, soul, and hours of time into? What exactly happened when they clicked it?
This:

FML.
